Shah Bakht Sohail

Ms. Sohail is a graduate of Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), holding a Master of Laws with majors in Banking and Finance Law from the University of London. She joined the Firm in 2012 and has since commanded the respect of her peers and Clients due to her sheer professionalism, work ethic, detail-oriented approach, and ability to propose solutions to complex legal issues. Her ability to swiftly grasp intricate legal concepts has helped her excel in her areas of legal expertise, ultimately earning her a place as one of the Firm’s partners.

Ms. Sohail is also a Certified Corporate Director and serves as an independent director on the boards of various companies, contributing her expertise to governance, compliance, and strategic decision-making.

As a partner, she continues to play a pivotal role in the Firm’s success. Her natural leadership skills and dedication have been instrumental in overseeing both administrative and legal management functions. Her expertise includes handling matters such as banking credit documentation, civil (property and banking) litigation, legal opinions, vetting of property documents, and managing all aspects of company affairs with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP). Additionally, she has extensive experience drafting legal documents, advising clients on their legal rights, and providing counsel in divorce, civil, and other cases to formulate defenses or initiate legal action.

Beyond her legal practice, Ms. Sohail serves as an adjunct faculty member at Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), where she teaches courses including Constitution and Administrative Law, Property Law, and Introduction to Law. Her multifaceted roles as a legal practitioner, educator, and corporate director underscore her broad impact on the legal and corporate sectors.
